「I've just seen The Hulk over the weekend with quite some expectations. It turned out to be a disappointment. You don't need Jennifer Connelly to play Betty at all. A lot of the scenes are just silly ,long (much longer than the fight scene with Agent Smith in Matrix Reloaded ) and pointless. It seems to drag on without purpose.
I have never read the Hulk comic before and had next to none recollection of the TV series back in the old days. Ang Lee is the main attraction behind this movie , but what is he trying to do? Is it just me keep turning and toss on the seat over the 2-hour period?」
「What are you talking about? I was not only entertained by The Hulk but thought it had a well developed plot and good acting( at least as far as action movies go). And as far as comparing the action scenes to the scene in Matrix Reloaded, that scene seemed to just as long to me as any fight scen in The Hulk( but that doesn't mean that both scenes were not entertaining or exciting to watch). And since you have no previous knowledge of the character you cannot possibly judge how well Ang Lee portrayed his vision of The Hulk. In summary I couldn't dissagree with your opinion more.」
「Rubbish!! The themes of the story were quite obvious - the rich history of the character was respected - and the direction was superb. It was not a popcorn flick...it was a Greek Tragedy - if you want brain-mush, watch Charlie's Angels....if you want a multi -level sci-fi opus...watch the Hulk」
「 The Hulk is one of the years best movies. It has great drama, characterisations, and impressive visuals. Ang Lee has directed a wonderful tale of inner (and outer) conflict. He offers us a tale of a man who unleases his inner frustration and anger, personified in a bewildered child-monster. The CGI is ground-breaking, the acting top notch, and the story moves with a clarity not often found in movies nowadays. THE best comic-book adaptation yet! 」
「Any idiot who doesn't like this film deserves a lynching! If I see you on the street, prepare for a curb check, you brainless monkey! The Hulk is a dark brooding epic of torment and extreme emotion. It is so turbulent and exciting, you are NEVER left thinking the movie is slow or doesn't have a plot. Nolte is a god--I bet he was just playing himself in the movie. Eric Bana was the perfect hulk--his multi-layered character was truly a delight!! This movie KICKS Spider's ass!!」
「 A classic adaptation whose only fault is that it have obviously pitched too high for the average brain-dead, pop-corn munching morons.」
